Check this idea out. Each weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) each faction of the blog submits a weekend update. This could be what they did that weekend, a video blog, something funny that happened during the week, a picture from that week, or anything interesting that they encountered that week. Ever since haiku Thursdays went the way of the dodo my blogging stomach has been empty.

PS- my weekend: great amount of California sun compounded with the knowledge that I'm flying back to a Midwest blizzard.
